Hey Ladies,

What a great month February has been. It's the shortest month of the year and we most definitely have made the most of it here at Gym Secrets Clothing

Jenna from Beatfreakz and Pauline from Fit Mindful Mama were our two amazing, inspirational and motivating mumma's who dedicated sometime in their busy mum and business life to help bring YOU two free workouts for the month of February.

We have attached the links to the FREE WORKOUTS below

Sara selected these two beautiful mumma's because their drive, ambition and dedication to both motherhood, running a business and just being a genuine/real person is contagious, and let's face it, who has seen enough 'highlight reels' ?

We have sat down with both Jenna and Pauline, to ask them about mum life, business, the juggle and what/how they dedicate some time to themselves. I hope you enjoy this blog

Motherhood mental load movement

 1. What inspired you to start your business/go back to work full time?

To have freedom with my family & be able to work around my son. To be able to help inspire other women that running a business & being a full time Mum is possible, to show you can commit to regular exercise & take the self-care needed as a Mum without feeling Mum guilt

2. Do you have any tips for our readers on juggling mum life and your own business/work?

To get help when needed, its ok to outsource certain tasks & not "do it all", we often feel so much pressure from society to be able to manage EVERYTHING in the home & then head back to work but it is so necessary if we are struggling to outsource tasks or ask for help.

3. How do you keep yourself accountable?

By setting 6-week goals & targets. By creating a positive environment in my home wh9ich keeps me motivated. For example, my bedroom I always keep very clean & have made such a positive space - I have a massive vision board which I look at every morning & night, positive affirmations on the wall, crystals & dream catchers which are things I LOVE. I figure we start our day & end it in our bedroom, we may as well make it an uplifting & inspiring space to keep ourselves motivated.

4. What goals do you incorporate daily to keep yourself active?

I write a list at start of week of what exercise I will do the following week so each day is planned & schedule, I aim to get outside everyday even for a small walk with my son while he rides a bike. Small steps & consistency equal long-term benefits

5. What does ‘self-care’ me to you?

REST & JOY! Resting is so vital for mental & physical health especially for busy Mums. I also think self-care is finding things that bring pure joy - This could be a gentle stroll at beach or curling up for 10mins with a cup of tea & a book. Doing things that make you feel good is the biggest form of self-care.

6. If you could give a new mum or a mum with toddlers any advice- what would it be?

Just do what feels right for you, follow your intuition - As new Mums we are told a lot of what we "should" do but you as the Mum know what is right for your baby. If you feel its right to co-sleep, then co sleep. If you feel its right to formula feed, then formula feed - Do whatever feels right for you babe! You are doing an amazing job & things do get easier, you should be proud of everything you are achieving Mumma, keep going :)

 Motherhood highlight reel

1. What inspired you to start your business/go back to work full time?

I’m a teacher and a mindfulness coach and I have a strong passion for education so going back to work for me as sad as it was, was just the right thing to do to fill my cup.

2. Do you have any tips for our readers on juggling mum life and your own business/work?

For me it’s prepping, getting things done the night before because we all know mornings are crazy and who doesn’t love an extra 5 minute sleep in if we can? My second tip is planning time for you in all the chaos and crazy. It’s so important that you pencil time in your day for some you time.

3. How do you keep yourself accountable?

Alarms are my life 😉

4. What goals do you incorporate daily to keep yourself active?

I do a non negotiable 5 am workout everyday whether it’s a big gym session or a 10 minute meditation I make sure I’m up before the kids and moving. It not only sets me up for the day. But allows me to have a stronger mindset for those tough days when the kids are insane.

5. What does ‘self-care’ me to you?

It means taking time, whether it be a hot coffee, a meditation or even an uninterrupted shower. Self care for me is a few minutes a day to just reflect on me. Be with my own thoughts and just breathe.

6. If you could give a new mum or a mum with toddlers any advice- what would it be?

Always trust your gut!

I told you they are great! I have linked both workouts to the blog - just click on the images of the girls and it will take you directly to our IG page.

Feel free to revisit the IG Lives as often as you like. We do ask that you tag us @gym_secretsclothing and @beatfreakzfitness or @fit.mindful.mama when you do participate in the Lives as it helps supports our small businesses.

Until next blog

Lots of Love
