Hey GS girls!

Welcome to our first blog for 2022! It’s great to be back

I hope everyone had a well-deserved break. And for those of you who have contracted Covid 'already', yes, I say 'already' because it just feels like it’s a matter of time before we all do. Ahhhh! I hope your recovering well. Sara and her family were Covid positive at the start of the year- Sara shares her experience on her Instagram page

Our January blog is going to be a long one, so grab your hot drink and get comfortable on the couch because we have a bit to share with you.

Firstly, I am so excited to introduce you all to our 2022 Ambassadors for Gym Secrets. As you may know, last month we sent out a calling on our social media asking you, our amazing customers, if you would like to join our brand. Sara and I were both overwhelmed and appreciative of all the applicants, it honestly is our drive and motivation knowing that what we do impacts and empowers women to live a fuller, motivated and rewarding life.

So we thought we would spend this blog introducing our amazing 2022 Ambassadors, getting to know their 2022 goals and why they wanted to join our team.

1. What does active mean to you?
Active to me means, being happy, health and allowing our body to improve in every form it can, from day to day.
  1. What is one goal (fitness, health or personal) you want to accomplish this year? And how do you plan on achieving it.
In 2022, as an individual my goal would be to learn to love and understand my body. Mentally 2021 was hard for me to allow the changes in my body happen. 2022 my goal is to accept the changes that have happened and learn how to build new healthier habits into it
3. What is ONE piece of fitness advice you have been told that still sticks with you today?
A perfect piece of advice I have received as an individual is, “The time you put into being lazy and contemplating moving your body is the amount of time you should except that you’ll need to work the same amount of time not 2x times harder but actually allowing it to happen and change.”
4. What does it mean to be an GSC Ambassador?
It is defiantly an honour to be able to become a GSC Ambassador, as I am truly passionate about the message that is been put out into the world from this business. To promote and learn from the business is an amazing opportunity.

Being outside and moving your body
2. What is one goal (fitness, health or personal) you want to accomplish this year? And how do you plan on achieving it.
To finishes my nursing studies. The pass all of my unit and finish my uni placement.
3.What is ONE piece of fitness advice you have been told that still sticks with you today?
"Push yourself to your fullest"
4.What does it mean to be an GSC Ambassador?
To show people that gymsecrets comfortable and affordable clothing for everyone.

1. What does active mean to you?
To me being active means maintaining my physical and mental health.
2. What is one goal (fitness, health or personal) you want to accomplish this year? And how do you plan on achieving it.
Still working on the meal planning and healthy eating. I fall for the not organised and quick unhealthy dinners too much
3.What is ONE piece of fitness advice you have been told that still sticks with you today?
Everything in moderation!
4. What does it mean to be an GSC Ambassador?
Being able to share my love of the Gym Secrets Clothing range! And supporting a small business!

1. What does active mean to you?
To me, being active is all about keeping your body moving. I often choose to walk home versus catching a tram because it is a time that allows mental reflection and exercise whilst physically moving.
2. What is one goal (fitness, health or personal) you want to accomplish this year? And how do you plan on achieving it.
This year I have a goal to be more confident as an individual versus always being in a group. I have struggled with being alone in the past, however I am using exercise and sports to encourage a higher level of independence. For me, that may mean going to a sporting game, or visiting national parks alone.
3.What is ONE piece of fitness advice you have been told that still sticks with you today?
Compare yourself to others, and you'll never achieve the results you want. Progress must only be judged between the person you are today and the person you were yesterday.
4. What does it mean to be an GSC Ambassador?
Being a gym secrets ambassador allows me to share my explorations, whilst also encouraging my own physical fitness within this supportive team.

1. What does being active mean to you?
Being active to me means that I am moving my body through any method
2. What is one goal (fitness, health or personal) you want to accomplish this year? & how do you plan on achieving it
I want to get out and be more active with my children and plan on going for more walks with them and running around at the park
3. What is ONE piece of fitness advice you have been told, that still sticks with you today?
Find an exercise method you enjoy doing and it won’t feel like a chore to workout
4. What does being a GSC Ambassador mean to you?
It gives me a feeling of empowerment and acceptance of who I am. I get to show my daughter that we can be accepted no matter who we are and what we look like.

SARA

1. What does active mean to you?
Being active is more than just moving my body. For me, it allows me a solid 20-30mins to myself where I can push myself to my fullest potential, yet whilst having some ‘me time’. Since becoming a mum I no longer take moving my body for granted, it’s honestly a privilege that requires effort around planning and being determined to do so! Because if I don’t, I simply just can’t find the energy to be the best mum, wife or business owner I can be all at the one time.
2. What is one goal (fitness, health or personal) you want to accomplish this year? And how do you plan on achieving it
My main goal this year is a personal one, I want to be more organised with everything I do, so that I can enjoy the time I get with the kids- be completely present. I go back to work this year (as a Registered Nurse, after being off for Maternity Leave) and plan to do a Post Graduate course- so organisation is my main goal this year.
3. What is ONE piece of fitness advice you have been told, that still sticks with you today?
If it was easy, everyone would be doing it!

1.What does active mean to you?
Giving yourself “YOU TIME” Looking after your mind health and body, and staying motivated.
2. What is one goal (fitness, health or personal) you want to accomplish this year? And how do you plan on achieving it
Defiantly getting my body and mind back to where it was before lockdown. Eating healthy and start getting back to the gym again.
3.What is ONE piece of fitness advice you have been told, that still sticks with you today?
Nothing is impossible, give yourself a goal and push for it. You can do it!
4. What does it mean to be a part of GSC team?
Being part of a brand that motivates and inspires women is something I am so proud to be a part of! GSC has encouraged me to reach for my goals and push myself as far as I can. I am also honoured to be a part of a brand that sells the most convenient and comfortable (and stylish) gym clothing. I love mix and matching outfits and can’t wait to show them off at the gym!
