Today’s blog is a joint one. 

I sat down with Sara, to discuss our most loved protein shake recipe ideas. You may have seen on the Gym Secrets Clothing Instagram stories - if you're not following us, just click here, that Sara enjoys having a post workout smoothie.

Whilst some people rather a healthy smoothy for breakfast. 

Today's blog is not going to talk to you about the positives verse negatives about having a protein smoothie, or the different types of proteins, or if having kale in your smoothie will help you loose weight. Seriously girls, there is an endless amount of that kind of stuff on the internet.

You know we are not about that! you know, we are purely here to help empower you to be the best version of yourself. 

So, in saying that we would LOVE to share our favourite protein shake recipe ideas with you.

But first, can I please highlight that having the powdered form of protein is not your only way to consume protein. I personally love having boiled eggs or eggs on whole grain bread and dairy products as an addition to my daily protein intake.

Other high protein sourced foods include- lean meats, poultry and fish.

Okay, now the super yummm and our easy to make protein shake recipes

This is mine; everyone knows how much I love chocolate, so my favourite shake I wanted to share with you all is my Peanut Butter and Nutella Smoothie YUM!

  •       300mls of Coconut Water 
  •       One whole Banana
  •       1 scoop of Vanilla Protein 
  •       1 Tbs of Nutella
  •       1 Tbs of Peanut Butter 
  •       Honey (judge based on how sweet you like it)
  •       Ice cubes x3

Put all this in your blender and blend away!

Our go to protein shake recipes 

Sara's go to protein shake, would have to be her Peanut Butter with Oats Smoothie

  •      500mls of Water
  •      1 scoop of Vanilla Protein
  •      1 scoop of Greens Powder
  •      1 whole Banana (frozen preferred) 
  •      1 Tbs of Instant Coffee
  •      1/2 cup of Quick Oats 
  •      1 Tbs of Peanut Butter
  •       Ice cubes x4

Put all this in your blender and blend away!
